Categories: Cult of iPhone Pictures

One of the most outspoken critics of the record industry, Trent Reznor of the Nine Inch Nails, compiled a small sample of NIN oriented wallpapers for the iPhone. Unfortunately it was taken down from their web site but a mirror was created. Even if you aren’t a fan of the band, take a look anyways.

OhMiBod iPod Accessory Now iPhone Compatible, New Features

Posted January 5, 08 4:00 AM by Tanner Godarzi

One of the oddest iPod accessories, OhMiBod, has received iPhone compatibility along with some new features.

The founder of the company was quoted as saying:

“Since the iPhone has the same music storage and playback capabilities as the iPod, we knew we had to make sure that all of our products functioned with the iPhone, too. When the iPhone is attached to your OhMiBod and you receive a call, OhMiBod will vibrate to the caller’s voice, a feature that will truly revolutionize phone sex!”

Smaller versions of the product will be available in black, green, pink and blue to match Apple’s recently revamped Nano lines. They will retail for $69.

Brief: Gearlive Posts Q&A And Screenshot Of 1.1.3

Posted January 2, 08 2:00 PM by Tanner Godarzi

To further disprove suspicion of creating a fake Firmware on a level that Apple would be envious of, Andru Edwards of Gearlive answers more questions about the 1.1.3 update and posts a screenshot of his about screen showing his Firmware number is in fact 1.1.3.

The picture below shows that Andru is running 1.1.3 but blocks out his serial number and build number to protect his source. Some hopes are dashed such as SMS forwarding, MMS support and A2DP Support.

While trolling through Flickr, I found this great picture. In it, the photographer created an effect that made his iPhone and MacBook screens look transparent. Pretty cool.

Land Rover LRX Concept Car and the Coolest iPhone Car Integration Ever

Gizmodo covered this last week, but I just couldn’t resist publishing these amazing photos here as well.

Pictures of the Land Rover LRX concept car shows heavy integration with the iPhone. So much so that the iPhone docks into the car and even becomes the push button start of the vehicle.

I will believe it when I see it but this is got to be the sexiest iPhone integration concept I have ever seen.

NBC’s Chuck Reveals iPhone MMS Messaging

Posted December 10, 07 3:00 PM by Gregory Ng

NBC sure loves their iPhones on their TV shows. A few weeks ago I wrote about how an iPhone made an appearance in NBC’s Bionic Woman upside down! Well, now we have a shot of an iPhone from NBC’s hit show, CHuck where an actual MMS message is being received by the iPhone!

Could this be a leak of what’s to come? I sure hope so.

NBC’s Bionic Woman TV Show Makes iPhone Blunder

The Bionic Woman TV show may be speaking to a whole new generation of fans but they certainly aren’t being heard too well. Thanks to the eagle-like eyesight of Michael Stambaugh, the prop director of the hit NBC show may be a little embarrassed. In this screenshot you can clearly see this character talking on his iPhone upside down.

If you look at the video in which this pic was taken from, he uses it correctly for the first part of the scene. Then, after a scene cut, it is upside down!

I decided to try out what that would sound like if you talked on your iPhone upside down. Although barely audible, it’s not something I would recommend if you were say..uh..trying blackmail the Bionic Woman.

iPhone Halloween Costumes

Posted October 29, 07 1:00 PM by Gregory Ng

imageChris Pirillo on his live show last week came up with his list of the top 5 geek halloween costume ideas. Among them was to go as an iPhone. Obviously, the iPhone is the most well known new products of 2007, it would make perfect sense for people to dress up as one.

After a quick search for “iPhone costume” on Flickr, I came across this gem of a picture. Aww, look at the cute kid dressed up like the iPhone. But what really got me howling was the caption:

For the Noe Valley Harvest Festival street fair kiddie Halloween costume contest. It was obviously the parents’ idea. The MC asked the kid what he was and he had no idea. “I’ll tell you what you are,” the MC says. “You’re overpriced, is what you are.”

What are you going to be for Halloween? Anyone going to be an iPhone?

What Was Your First iPhone Picture Of?

Posted October 12, 07 7:00 AM by Gregory Ng

imageYou may hate the fact the iPhone does not have a flash for the camera. You may be disappointed it doesn’t have video support. You may also be upset it is not easy to email the full 2mpx Resolution image. But regardless of gripes, the camera on the iPhone can be a lot of fun. You figure, you are staring at your gorgeous phone all day, it is only natural that you would be snapping pictures in the process.

Everyone remembers their first time. The first time they took a picture with their iPhone, that is. If you are like the majority of Flickr users, your first iPhone pic was of a person, maybe yourself.

My first picture taken with my iPhone fit that convention. It is a blurry self portrait form my office and at a 90 degree angle (shown on left). A very shoddy picture but boy, was it exciting!

A Great Idea: The iPhone/iPhoto Postcard

Posted October 8, 07 1:00 PM by Gregory Ng
Categories: Pictures

Scott Kleinberg has a great idea. Why not encourage more iPhoto use by creating an iPhoto Wifi Store? As he writes on his “iPhone, Therefore I Blog” site:

...say you are visiting Chicago and wanted to send a postcard to your friends in New York. Instead of going to a store, buying a postcard, finding a stop, writing it out and mailing it, you could snap a photo on your iPhone, log into the iPhoto Wi-Fi store, click on send postcard and send one via mail.

This could change the way people take pictures, communicate with people, and find ways to spend more money with Apple. COuld you see yourself using a service like this?
