LetsTalk Say iPhone Buzz Not So Great
To contradict an article I posted earlier today, the buzz surrounding the iPhone is apparently not so great. According to LetsTalk, an online seller of phones, a recent survey they ran suggested that users are not so keen in switching to the iPhone from their current music playing phones, with around 52% saying they’ll stick with what they’ve got.
The main reasons for not wanting to switch to the iPhone was primarily down to not needing to and the iPhone “costing too much money”.
Of course let’s not be blind-sighted by the facts here, if 52% of users said no that means 48% said yes to switching to Apple’s upcoming “revolutionary” mobile phone. With all the other phones on offer, half of LetsTalk customers seem to be up for the idea of switching - so perhaps the survey results shouldn’t be taken as a negative.

more...Only 1% Willing to Pay for iPhone
In a recent study, held by Compete, Inc, only 1% of responders said they would be willing to pay the $500 pricetag for the iPhone. When asked if they would be willing to spend $200 to $300 on the iPhone, over 40% of responders said yes.
But let’s not get too caught up on this number yet. This study only had 379 participants and there is no word on the demographics of these survey takers. In other words, I bet if I asked the right 379 participants I could get a result that said, “Only 1% of participants would be willing to take $1000 with no strings attached.” The point is, depending on who was surveyed this could be a sign of the true appetite for a $500 phone from Apple, or it could mean nothing at all.
So are you in the 1% that is willing to buy? Or the 99% that isn’t?
