iPhone Ripoff: Love Feng Mobile Phone
Imitation isn’t uncommon in the tech world especially when dealing with Apple. You had Microsoft copying Mac OS X to design Vista. You even had Macintosh clones and even have have fake iPods.
However, there has not been a fake iPhone such as this one. The Love Feng Mobile Phone is truly an incarnation of what would be considered wretched and despised in an iPhone like guise. If you dare set your gaze upon this wicked device then look below.

If you wish to venture deep into a photo gallery that is the electronic twin of Medusa then Gizmodo has got you covered.
Keep in mind this isn’t the only iPhone fake. The Meizu M8 is by far better than this rebirth of evil into a plastic brick.

The iPhone’s Mobile Safari application displays the “real internet”...on our phone! Sure it may be a miniature form of the real internet but it displays everything you would see running Safari on your PC.
The only problem with how Mobile Safari renders websites lies in the default viewport width. The iPhone’s Safari defaults every website to a viewport of 980 pixels. Fortunately a simple line of code can optimize your website for the iPhone.
Craig Hockenberryon his furbo.org site writes:
It’s easy - just add a
tag that lets the iPhone know how wide to display the initial page. I added the following code to the
< head >
in my template yesterday:
< meta name="viewport" content="width=808" / >
So what are waiting for? The code won’t effect how other browsers render your site. Optimize for the iPhone today.

The iPhone Hates Women
Recently we took a family trip down to the Apple store in order to plan how we should upgrade our current Macs to better suit our needs. Every configuration was debated ranging from a portable setup to a media oriented network. However, one device was a focal point in our buying decision, the iPhone. My mom was envious of mine and I referred her to one of the display demos. She found out that the iPhone wouldn’t let her type with long nails and even flat fingered, 3 letters were typed up. Seems the iPhone is sexist.
Here was my mom, excited at the prospect of potentially having a powerful desktop setup (iMac), an outlet for our multi media (Apple TV) and a portable (the iPhone). She was excited to use my iPhone or any to say the least but it’s hard to give up your pride and joy when you write at a Blog dedicated to something you can fit in your pocket.
She liked the iPhone a lot when my little brother got a hold of it but my mom eventually bribed got to test the device. She tried to… more...
OEM Metal Replacements Available In Black
Sure you can pick up the iPhone in 3 colors, black, chrome and grey but if you desire something a bit more dark then the Cellular Nationwide Network has got you covered, literally.
If the metal back plate is too much of a cog in the color scheme you have two more options and they both require immense experience with the device’s build and a lot of time. You can spray paint your iPhone but should mess up you’re stuck with an off color device littered with splotches noting your ill fated attempts.
The second is to replace the back cover with a new black one. The process isn’t easy as you can see by the step by step instructions posted by iFixit of the iPhone’s dissasembly.
However, if you are willing to take a risk and completely dismantle your iPhone the OEM replacement cover in black can be had for $48.99 via the Cellular Nationwide Network.

iPhone Does Have a SIM Card Slot
For weeks we were lead to believe that the iPhone didn’t have a SIM card slot, as it would only be running on AT&T’s network and therefore wouldn’t require a removable SIM slot.
But today Think Secret has posted some pictures, albeit unconfirmed at this stage, that with the use of a simple paper clip the SIM slot can be removed and a new SIM card can be installed. I suppose we’ll hear more stories of this as the iPhone is released into the public later on this evening. Bare in mind though folks, this is merely a rumour at this stage.

You’ll also notice in the image above that there is a new iPhone dock which will allow, most probably, the charging of the official Apple Bluetooth Headset.

Ah yes, the master behind the iPod, iMac, Macbook and AppleTV, Jonathan Ive certainly does design some beautiful and simplistic pieces of hardware for the fruity technology giant, doesn’t he? So it’s no wonder he won this years National Design Award.
Cooper-Hewitt has announced that Ive has won the National Design Award based on Product Design - which includes the iPhone and Apple TV, two products that will no doubt have a very bright Christmas ahead.
Ive, Apple’s senior vice president of industrial design also won a few awards a couple of years back, including Designer of the Year in 2003, which gave him the title Royal Designer for Industry.

Whilst all the hype of the iPhone is taking over the mobile phone scene at the minute with it’s sexy Multi-touch technology and other sensory bits-and-bobs, one of those sensors isn’t a first for a mobile phone - the motion-sensor.
As it turns out, and as many mobile phone fanatic’s will know, there have been a variety of motion-sensing mobile phones released since 2005 although none have really appealed to the average Joe. Why, you ask? Well, take a look at the Nokia 5500 Sports Phone below which was introduced last year. Whilst it’s not the most attractive phone on the market, it is the most attractive motion-sensing phone available, bar the iPhone, which says a lot for the other ugly ducklings of the pack.

Cnet compiled have compiled a list of other phones that have motion-sensing technology and you’ll be surprised to see that the manufacturers actually gave the go-a head to release such ugly looking things. I am in shock!
more...Jonathan Ive Cuts Off Feet
The Digital Beat.com has published its list of the 10 things you never knew about the Apple iPhone. For those who have followed iPhone info more closely, this list really is the “1 or 2 Things You Never Knew About the Apple iPhone.”
#1 on the list is actually something I had not heard before: “1. Jonathan Ive, Apple’s design chief, closely examined leading cell phones and decided to rethink phone design literally from the bottom up. Example: he pointed out to Time magazine that most phones have tiny feet or protrusions on the bottom that detract from a sleek design. The “feet” are meant to raise a phone slightly off a surface so the speaker on the back can be heard. Ive’s solution: move the speaker from the back and avoid the need for “feet.” A common sense solution, and yet one that has eluded most other phone makers.”
Oh that Jonathan Ive: Always defaulting to common sense solutions. This is a great design solution for those who were bothered by the feet to begin with. I would hardly classify it as a solution that has eluded other phone… more...
