Tweak Your Tweets with Birdhouse
![]()
An app getting a lot of attention lately is an app called Birdhouse. Birdhouse is a unique Twitter application for the iPhone with the purpose of captureing your ideas for Twitter posts with the intention of perfecting them over time.
You can save and rate as many drafts as you like and sort them by time or by rating. You can also add multiple accounts which is something a lot of Twitter users like.
Once you’ve tweaked your tweet, you can publish it from Birdhouse and view an archive of published Birdhouse tweets.
I have received a few emails that this just isn’t an app that that is worth the $3.99 especially with the iPhone 3.0 software soon to be released. So tell me - what do you think about this new app? Leave your opinions in the comments.

Jabeh
Rating:
MMMMM - Matters!
I had a chance to play around with a beautiful application called Jabeh. Jabeh is an incredibly gorgeous puzzle game where the object is to find 12hidden stones on a board.
So let me see if I can explain this as easily as possible. First of all, there are three levels of play; easy, medium, and hard. Column and row numbers indicate how many stones are in each row and column. The arrows placed on the board point toward stones. By determining where stones are and are not, the remaining stones’ positions become very clear. Tap once to block off a square and twice to place a stone. You can block off an entire row by dragging. When the game is won, you’re done. If you want to play another round, you need to start a new game. Simple, eh?
In addition to the game being so lovely, the music and sound effects are as equally as nice and fits the game quite well.
Of course, if you did not understand my explanation of the game, the game does include a set… more...
Five Fingers and the Wonderful Game Bundle
Software bundles are normally things that appear for computers, and I was just waiting for the day when a bundle was finally released.
The 5 Fingers Bundle does just that - it combines five games into one application for one price. How nice is that?
I can assure you, this isn’t the first time a bundle has been released, but it is the first time a bundle has been released that is include wonderful integration.
The user interface for switching between the different games is amazing.
So what games are included in this bundle?
1. Blackbeard’s Assault
2. Chopper
3. Sneezies
4. Up There
5. BurnBall
Take a look at this bundle. If you like the games above, then you won’t be disappointed in this bundle.

GL Golf
Rating:
MMMM
For the past week, I have been testing out an app that I really like. GL Golf is exactly what it’s name suggests - a golfing application. GL Golf allows you to play golf on your iPhone in a 3D world.
The game consists of 5 golf courses, and you can play with up to 4 people. I am no golfer by any stretch of the imagination, but the game is so much fun, even if I do suck. Some option that I really like about the game is the ability to change real life factors. You can change things like weather, time of day, season, ball color, difficulty of play, and the type of course. All what would effect your gameplay outside this application.
The controls are easy and remind me of any other golf game. To swing the club just double tap on the screen; when the power meter reaches to a spot you want, tap again (once), and you’ll hit the ball!
Of course, it wouldn’t be a true golfing experience if you had the same club. To change the club, you simply slide… more...
Jovan Washington: One Week with Cool Guy

MMM
I had a request to check out an app I seemed to miss while searching for something like this not too long ago. This application allows you to categorize your whole wardrobe in the palm of your hand.
Basically, what you do is take pictures (using your iPhone) of each item in your wardrobe. The app then categorizes your clothes allowing you to browse through what you have with ease.
One feature I liked was the ability to choose an outfit. Although I am not as prepared as I use to when I was in high school where I picked out my clothes before the next day, those who do will be able to whip up an outfit, saving you the hassle of trying things on to see how they look.
Have you ever gone on a trip and was worried that you forgot something or you wanted to make sure to pack a certain tie for a certain shirt. Fear not! Another useful feature of Cool Guy is the ability to plan your trips.
The “suitcase” function allows… more...
Jovan Washington: One Week with Sonic Vox

Sonic Vox
Rating:
MMM
I had a request to review a rather fun-sounding app, so I downloaded it and it is fun. Sonic Vox is a voice modulation application from SonicMule.
It comes with five different options for voices, with the possibility of varying the options themselves by sliding the finger to the right or to the left.
This application is fairly easy to use. You simply speak into the microphone on the iPhone and sounds comes out through either the iPhone speaker, headphones or anything you can plug into it. In my case, I had it plugged into some speakers.
Here are you options:
- Robot
- Lion or Kitty
- Normal Voice Modulator
- Cylon
- Baby or Grumpy
I wasn’t too impressed with any of the voice modulators. However, you can change the modulators a bit more by using the “touchpad” capabilities. Simply slide your finger on the screen left of right to change the pitch. I do hope that more are headed for future updates.
Unfortunately, this application is not very useful. I must admit, it is fun, but only for… more...
Jovan Washington: One Week With Harp

Harp
Rating:
MMMM - Matters
As many of you know, I love music. I try to take a look at all the music apps for the iPhone and one app I have been using for just over a week now is Harp.
Harp is an an application that allows you to play a simulated harp.
Easy controls allow you to strum at “strings” and choose from - get this - an amazing 168 chords on the left-hand side of the application.
The line of keys on the right side corresponds with any chord structure you choose on the left to give you scales, and swiping this gives the effect of a harp’s strings being plucked giving you beautiful music…or sound. ![]()
Another feature that will come in handy to any music enthusiast is that the App teaches you some basic music theory. Very handy. n addition, not only can you choose any basic chord from the pool, but you can choose extended chords as well.
Like I said, I love music and I think anyone that likes music as well will definitely… more...
Jovan Washington: One Week With MagicPad

MagicPad
Rating:
MMMM - Matters
I have been using MagicPad for more than a week now and that is a good thing. What is MagicPad? Simply put, MagicPad is a rich-text editor for the iPhone.
Features include the ability to do things we don’t normally get to see on the iPhone including: highlighting text, embolden, italicize, underline, change the font size, and even text color.
There are already notes created when you get this app that explain each function of the app, which is helpful. You can also open a new note. Basically, you can double-tap to highlight text, and there are options above the keyboard for changing font, color and style.
One cool feature to highlight is the ability to email your notes to anyone you wish. Each note is in rich-text format so when you send, you are including your email address as well as the other persons email address.
This app is pretty functional. More so than the Notes app that comes preloaded on your phone. However, the price is a little high for a notes application. Either way, you’ll find it to be… more...
Rate Obama’s Policies on your iPhone

President Barak Obama will be sworn in today and like previous Obama apps, this one hopes to be on the front page of your iPhone with the ability to vote.
Change, (not to be confused with the other Change app) iPhone app from Appible, LLC, released last week, lets you vote on your disapproval or approval of his administration’s policies on various issues.
In addition to casting your own vote, you can view other people’s votes on a 3D globe, view news for each issue from Yahoo News, and post comments on them to Twitter.
There is a plethora of issues you can look over and vote for such as: Technology, Science (my two favorites), Foreign Policies, Taxes, Welfare, Economy, and many more.
The app is available now in the app store for $1.99.
This is a very hot app and I look forward to seeing many more votes out there on these various topics.
