Announcing the Winner of iPhoneMatters.com’s iPhone Contest
Congratulations to Andrew Clark AKA Clarkbar6 from Haddonfield, NJ. His video entry in the “I Want to Win an iPhone from iPhoneMatters.com” Contest titled, “The Last Straw” was chosen from dozens of entries as the winner of a brand new 8GB iPhone.
Andrew’s entry impressed the judges with his overall concept, his craftsmanship, and his brilliant homage to the Office Space printer scene. View his entry below:
Here’s what Andrew had to say:
I’m from Haddonfield, a small town in South Jersey about 10 minutes over the bridge from Philadelphia (Go Phillies!). I’m a student at Northeastern University, and though I’m home now for the summer, the video was shot at school in Boston. That is actually not me in the video, that Oscar performance goes to my roommate Nick (I hope he doesn’t want me to share, I’ll have to do something for him.) The idea for the movie was somewhat autobiographical. Since seeing all the cool things that the iPhone could do, I would get more and more frustrated everyday with my current device. The Moto V180 phone that was destroyed in the video was my actual phone until we smashed it. It didn’t vibrate anymore, and “the last straw” was when the screen decided to stop displaying anything. I have been surviving on a $20 GOphone ever since, so this will be a very big step up. I really want to say thanks to all of the people who viewed and commented on my video, and especially the writers at iPhone Matters!
Congratulations Andrew and thanks to all that participated in our first contest.

Are you seriosu? This video is HORRIBLE! Not funny at all. Why would you give this looser an iPhone?
-
Thats funny. I don;t remember seeing someone named, “Never Visiting This Site Again” enter the contest. Atleast this guy entered. I don’t quite know what a looser is either.
-
Sounds like someone’s a little jealous. Good job Andy, you deserved it. I intentionally didn’t enter the contest because of your movie, I knew I wouldn’t have been able to top it. Have fun with your new iPhone.
