Another Rumor Pointing Towards New iPhone Model in Q4

imageAlthough I have said in the past that I think the rumored iPhone Nano is a big mistake for Apple and the success of the original iPhone, more and more rumors are coming out pointing to a new iPhone coming out in the 4th quarter.

Quanta Computer Inc, Taiwan’s biggest manufacturer of cell phones is rumored to have acquired a huge order from Apple to start assembling new iPhone models.

What exactly that “new” model looks like we don’t know. How “big” exactly is that order we don’t know either. But it is important to note, the post went out of its way to say “new models of iPhones”.

If this rumor is true and Apple has plans to release a no-frills phone/iPod by this Christmas, it will be very interesting to see how and when Apple chooses to announce it. Especially considering the lower than expected sales numbers Apple is expected to announce this week.
