In a report released to the public, Green Peace had claimed Apple’s iPhone was toxic and went against the environmental standards they had preached so long ago via an open letter. With that, Green Peace has taken the liberty of suing Apple for you guessed it: not making the iPhone green enough.

Don’t get me wrong, having a clean environment would be bitching but any shred of credibility I had for Green Peace is gone. I can understand their concern for the environment but their approach is misaligned, lawsuits are not the way to go. I am not saying this from a fanboy perspective (even though I am typing this on a Blog devoted to the iPhone) but from a logical perspective. At best, Green Peace would be awarded damages and could use the money to make some parks but would that change Apple’s design of the iPhone? Hell no!

Apple probably wouldn’t be affected much by the lawsuit, heck we’ve got people suing for hundreds of millions of dollars for their incapability to read big bold text warning them their iPhones will be bricked. On the other hand, Apple has taken the defense saying their iPhones meet government standards and even the strict RoHS
