imageMost of us know that Apple plans to go farther with multi-touch than just the iPhone. Apparently Apple is very serious about the new technology, so much so that it is hiring new engineers to work on it. Multi-touch iMac’s, OMG! Imagine what multi-touch can do on a desktop! Apple posted a Job listing for a whole team of engineers to work on the project. Here is the listing.

Multi-touch Engineering

  * Engineering Program Manager
  * Hardware Engineering Manager
  * HID Software Engineering Project Manager
  * Input Firmware Engineer
  * Panel Process Engineer
  * Senior Hardware Engineer—Touch Technology
  * Senior Module Process Engineer, Displays
  * Touch Technology Instrumentation Software Engineer

8 jobs in total which are dedicated to multi-touch development. Apple is serious about producing new products with multi-touch. What do you think Apple will develop with this technology, and when do you think new multi-touch technology will appear?
