Apple Releases 2.0.2 Update

Just two weeks after version 2.0.1, Apple has released version 2.0.2 but what does this update include?

At 248.7MB this update seems like it should include a lot more, however, no one has noticed any sign of change.

Perhaps maybe it has something to do with MobileMe seeing as how I received an email from Apple about updates to MobileMe.

Others around the internet noticed:

*No new settings appear to have been included.
*Some users report faster browsing, though this may be due to cleared cache.
*Typing lag may be reduced.
*Apps don’t require updates; NetShare still works.
*Transition from music list to Coverflow has changed.

If you’ve noticed something in particular, let us know!

  6. Has anyone else experienced a problem where iPhone shows that you have hard drive space being used (music, movies, etc) under the Settings > General > About tab.  And when you go to the iPod it shows no music, movies or video.  Also, has anyone else experience a problem with third party apps?  For example, right now I can run the Core iPhone apps, but if I try to run any 3rd party apps…it attempts to lauch the app but goes directly back to the home screeen.  I have had to restore my iPhone twice in the past week. It fixes the problem for a bit, but it continues to happen.  I downloaded 2.0.2 thinking it would help, but it hasn’t. These problems has happend on both my new 3G and my first generation iPhone that are running 2.0 or higher.  Any ideas?

  11. I went to the Apple Store and spoke with a genius yesterday.  He had me do a full restore without backing up.  And rather than restore from a back up, he had me ‘create a new phone’ in iTunes during the restore process.  This seems to have worked so far.  The only thing was that I had to reconfigure all my favorites for phone contacts, weather, and clocks.  But it is a small price to pay to have full functionality back.  Thanks for those who responded!

  12. I’m noticing the first problem I’ve ever had since owning my iPhone. And this all started once I got the newest update. If someone leaves me a voice mail it doesn’t show up for a WHILE. I sometimes have to restart my phone for them to show up at all. Anyone else have this problem? Please help.

  13. jason- that sounds more like a ATT service issue than an apple iphone issue.
