Apple’s MobileMe director replaced after launch fiasco

Apple’s Senior Vice President Eddy Cue is now in charge of the controversial MobileMe service, following a rocky launch. Steve Jobs sent a memo to Apple employees after four weeks of MobileMe problems, saying the service was “not up to Apple’s standards.” We completely agree- everything we’ve heard about the MobileMe service has been negative. “It was a mistake to launch MobileMe at the same time,” Jobs went on to say. “We all had more than enough to do, and MobileMe could have been delayed without consequence."When Jobs targets your division for poor performance- you can pretty much kiss your Apple badge goodbye. There’s no word on who Eddy Cue replaced, but we’d be surprised if they weren’t at the bottom of the Apple Dungeon in Cupertino.
