AT&T Employees Get Massive iPhone Discount? Maybe, Maybe Not

image While you can pick up a refurbished iPhone from Apple for $100 off the initial price   you might be able to snag an iPhone much cheaper if you are an AT&T employee, or can you?

Gizmodo is reporting the story as AT&T employees are receiving a 10% discount on all iPhones but the comments seem to indicate a different story.

Possible employees are saying that they are getting discounts but in varying amounts or at some point in the future.

Others however are saying that they will receive no discount whatsoever and any free offers they may have had will now be charged on an iPhone is added.

Nothing seems concrete in the posting but I am leaning towards that there is no discount due to Apple’s dealing with AT&T but if any employees want to chime in, please do so in the comments.

  1. “...In addition, starting in mid-October, employees will be offered a 10 percent discount on the retail price…The iPhone cannot be used with discounted rate plans. It must be activated on a consumer rate plan…”
