In a move that proves that no medium is truly safe from the tentacles of the Ad Man, Pinch Media has announced its plans to develop the world’s first iPhone application advertising network. Pinch Media is combining their advertising and analytical skills with the widespread popularity of the App Store to allow developers to insert small advertisements in the applications, allowing them to subsidize the cost of creating those apps.

“By adding ad-supported iPhone applications to JumpTap’s mobile advertising network, we can immediately provide high-quality brand advertisers to our developers,” noted Greg Yardley, Pinch Media’s CEO. “Pinch Media’s iPhone-optimized advertising and analytics package provides iPhone developers with a straightforward and simple way to expand their businesses.”

Although in-application advertising can negatively affect applications- we’re looking at you, AOL- maybe the funding developers will get from Pinch Media will allow for applications to get started, then go ad-free when popularity increases.
