Although the new iPhone may sport an improved battery life, modders are always looking for a way to eek out just a bit more juice.

One enterprising modder managed to convert his netbook battery into a backup charger for his iPhone. The battery, which was retrieved from an MSI Wind, was modified to include an extra USB port which managed to charge an iPhone 3G in 2 hours and 22 minutes leaving just half the battery charge left.
