I love the included earbuds with my iPhone, it’s the first pair i’ve considered repurchasing should something happen to them but they do get kinda, odd.

First off, wherever I am in the iPhone I can just tap the Mic button and a song plays, very exciting I know. But it angers me that I cannot do the same when it is locked which brings up another point, I can answer my phone by hitting the button. I know it doesn’t sound that amazing now but it gets interesting.

Since I can answer calls through the earbuds I use it often when I’m riding my bike or even just walking around. Because of this people perceive me as actually listening to music, when I start a conversation it now looks like I am talking to myself. I don’t mind this but it really pisses me off when people ask if there is a mic in my earbuds, no I’m pretty sure its not, I have no friends except the imaginary dude to your left.

Anyways, random things tend to happen, I don’t know if this is by design or if it’s from me poking the mic with a pencil. I’ll be watching a video on YouTube and remember I’m in the real world with real people who like to bother me like to talk to me. My natural response is to hit the mic button to stop the video but oh gee, it starts playing a random song, so not only do I have to pause my YouTube vid but I also have to pause my music

I don’t know if your earbuds are this random or odd or possibly defective but it does make things interesting.
