imageEven though the iPhone isn’t available now, iChat for the iPhone is. Actually, to be exact it is AIM available as a web-based app potentially optimized for the iPhone.

According to the post on The Apple Press, this is just a 10 minute demo but this certainly keeps me optimistic that I can get instant messaging immediately: instead of waiting for Apple to get their act together.

Use your mouse to flick (drag and release) your buddy list up and down like you’re supposed to on the iPhone. Click a buddy to start a conversation. You can open multiple conversations… flick left/right to change conversations.

I love web developers.

  1. I don’t understand why this guy keeps making apps that have the whole “Flick’ function…. The iPhone will do this automatically for every web page. they said so at the WWDC Keynote.. They even showed it. If you look at live demos online too, it shows the flick action being used to get around a web page. So the verticle scroll, flick action is completely uncessarry.
