As if there was a chance the iPhone 2.0 software was not known to be released with the iPhone 3G, Apple has made available a guide that confirms a July 11th release.

Apple has posted a guide for setting up MobileMe on your Mac or PC and your iPhone.

As well as being a useful guide, the page also reveals the official launch date for the iPhone 2.0 software update; July 11th.

You can find the page on Apple’s website at apple.com/mobileme/setup.

  1. OK, it’s July 11 and iTunes is still saying that 1.1.4 is the most current release.
    What is the deal here?

  9. My iPhone no longer connects to iTunes now that i’ve installed itunes 7.7.  Windows doesn’t see it either.

Hmmm, I’ve rebooted phone and computer multiple times.  Apple’s tech support on the website just takes me in circles.  Anyone else notice the circular links?
