iPhone LiveSpeakR concept cranks it up to 11

We should start off by saying we’re grateful Apple decided to include a speaker with the iPhone (unlike its iPod Touch sibling). The speaker is great for phone calls, but when it comes to media we really wish we could give it some extra “oomph.” Erik Groset, creator of the LiveSpeakR apparently has what we’ve all been waiting for. The futuristic-looking iPhone LiveSpeakR store conveniently behind the iPhone and have some kind of advanced multi-directional hinge that allows the speakers to work either in portrait or landscape mode, then fold compactly enough to fit in your pocket. One caveat- they’re powered by AA batteries (or an AC adapter), so they’ll probably be a bit bulky. That’s a small price to pay for a speaker attachment that makes your iPhone hover (kidding…).

The LiveSpeakR should be available in summer of 2008.
