Apple really pulled through on this one- the fabled SDK is available just a week later than what was initially proposed. Starting today, developers will have access to the “Cocoa Touch” framework and APIs that Apple used for the iPhone’s software development. Also, third-party developers will have access to hardware-accelerated 3-dimensional graphics, location-enabled applications similar to Google Maps, access to the accelerometer, and access to the iPhone’s media capabilities. No word about VOIP capabilities yet.
