It’s Official: I Have Lined Up!

I am starting a new tradition: being 1st in line at my local Apple store for every major product release. Last year I spent about 100 hours in line for the first generation iPhone. At about 36 hours, this year, I have officially started the line at my local store. Crazy right? The 3G madness has commenced!

If you would like to say hello, come down and visit the Pasadena Apple Store. You are also welcome to come and line up next to me, the line is lonely.

This post should merit a variety of responses, so feel free to voice off in the comments.

  1. Way to go dude!  Out here in the boonies, we don’t have to get in line quite so early to be #1.  I was #2 last year.  We’ll be camping out tomorrow night for sure.

  3. J.P: Thanks. Yea I lined up pretty early.

    Hadley: Haha. Lining up has always been fun. I have no tent, just a sleeping bag. In all honesty it is a bit counterintuitive to spend an extra night when I could have just showed up the next morning. The third person in line just did just that, he just showed up.

    are you the only one there? i plan pn coming to line up too but wasnt sure when to come? if you want we can make a little deal….. i you keep me updated and let me know when the line gets around 10 to 15 people long…. i will buy you lunch or dinner…. comment here if you are interested and i will give you my email.

  15. If someone were to line up at 530am, he/she would definitely get an iPhone. Apple will not sell out. The only problem such a person might face would be a long wait. This is all theoretical though. Haha.
