Jovan Washington: One Week with GL Golf

GL Golf

MMMM
For the past week, I have been testing out an app that I really like. GL Golf is exactly what it’s name suggests - a golfing application. GL Golf allows you to play golf on your iPhone in a 3D world.
The game consists of 5 golf courses, and you can play with up to 4 people. I am no golfer by any stretch of the imagination, but the game is so much fun, even if I do suck. Some option that I really like about the game is the ability to change real life factors. You can change things like weather, time of day, season, ball color, difficulty of play, and the type of course. All what would effect your gameplay outside this application.
The controls are easy and remind me of any other golf game. To swing the club just double tap on the screen; when the power meter reaches to a spot you want, tap again (once), and you’ll hit the ball!
Of course, it wouldn’t be a true golfing experience if you had the same club. To change the club, you simply slide your finger up or down the screen. All the controls are very simple.
I must say, this app is a very fun app. I am kind of addicted. This app won’t win an award for the best graphics, but it is a great contender for one of the funnest apps to play. Currently, there are two versions in the app store. GL Golf Deluxe released which give you a Twenty-Two course version for $9.99. There is also a regular GL Golf version and is on discount to $5.99 (last time I checked and normally $7.99). Check them both out!
Pros:
Very fun and addicting
Can change many options for gameplay
Controls are super simple to use
Cons:
Not the best graphics in the app store for a game
Difficult to change the view, or perhaps I am doing something wrong
Approach shots can be difficult
