Many users having MobileMe issues… are you?
Following a horrendously problematic launch two weeks ago, Apple’s new MobileMe service, which allows seamless data transfer between your devices, is still suffering from reliability issues. After last week’s feeble launch, Apple issued an apology to customers, stating that the upgrade from .Mac to MobileMe was “a lot rockier than we had hoped.” Apple also gave existing members 30 days for free. Still, subscribers are having problems signing on the service, and performing basic account operations like setting a password. In fact, Apple stated that around 1% of their members were having issues accessing the e-mail server alone.

I signed up for a extra year of service at a discounted price of the day of the iPhone G3 launch and was told that I could add the extra year on the end. It took two week to get this to work. I tied to contact apple to help with this but all I got was canned technical support answers via email and no real answer to my specific question. I seem to get a lot more support from my $2 a month web site support.
Oh yea and email seems to not being deliver on time. -
I still can’t get outlook calendar and contacts to sync up with ME correctly. It will not display my calendar at all and contacts don’t update properly. I don’t own a MAC but have an Iphone and want a way to sync my contacts and calendars over the air. It is too bad Apple can’t seem to get their act together in this area.
It is weird. If ME was a Microsoft service people would be all over them frothing at the mouth. -
Yep, added Family Pack on end of existing .Mac service. Trying in vain to add a prorated add on for the the family pack between now and new family pack service. All I get from Apple CS is “sorry, yep it’s a known problem and try again some other day"… :(
