MobileMe Coming Sooner Than Expected
Apple has announced that their new MobileMe service will be launch on the evening of July 9th, just before the sales of the first iPhone 3Gs in New Zealand on July 10th at 5AM Pacific Time.
That is great news because I sure would like to try it out. The new MobileMe service will be including web-based email, calendar, address book, photo gallery and storage capabilities, as well as “Push” sync services to between the “cloud,” desktop, and iPhone/iPod touch.
More than likely, iTunes 7.7 will soon to follow if not at the same time as MobileMe opens the doors as iTunes 7.7 is required for the new iPhone 3Gs.
Pricey, however, the MobileMe service costs $99/year, but will be available for $69 with the purchase of an iPhone 3G on July 11th which is a lot better! I am glad I didn’t pre-order.

Ted,
Friday will be the date of the iPhone 2.0 software. It was rumored to be sooner, but I doubt it’ll come any sooner than July 11th.
