How do you know when an application is hip? When it has Twitter and Facebook built into it!

Abaq.us announced the availability of MyGeoDiary for the iPhone and Facebook Connect integration into its website and iPhone app.

Geared towards the outdoor lifestyle crowd, MyGeoDiary enables users to upload GPS tracks recorded during outdoor activities such as running, biking and hiking to a web-based user profile. It is really engaging and I like the feedback.

Tracks, waypoints and pictures can be shared with the MyGeoDiary community, embedded in blog posts, and distributed to users’ Facebook and Twitter profiles which is a cool way to share your results. Not to mention, there is Flickr integration as well!

With Facebook Connect integration, MyGeoDiary users will be able to sign in to the service with their Facebook credentials and have their MyGeoDiary content integrated into their Facebook activity streams.

You’ll find MyGeoDiary for the iPhone in the Travel section of the App Store in the “Health and Fitness.” If you were lucky enough to snag it while it was free, then I hope you are enjoying it. For those that weren’t so lucky, you get to pay a fee, but a fee that you won’t regret paying. For $.99 you get a really good application that is very interactive and engaging and what could quite possibly encourage me to work out even more and share it with my friends!

Now available in the app store.
