In response to the slightly less than predicted sales numbers for the iPhone, O2 has changed their plans around to reel in new customers.

Insanely Great reports the gist of it.

• Existing £35 iPhone customers—Will be automatically upgraded to the new £35 iPhone tariff which offers you 600 anytime minutes and 500 anytime texts a month.
• Existing £45 iPhone customers—Will be automatically upgraded to the new £45 iPhone tariff which offers 1,200 anytime minutes and 500 anytime texts a month.
• Existing £55 iPhone customers—Will get reduced pricing for 1,200 anytime minute iPhone tariff from £55 to £45, continue to get 500 anytime texts.

Hopefully this boosts O2’s numbers and attracts new customers but the lack of 3G is a real deal breaker for some customers.
