Push GMail on your iPhone

imageYou’ve got the awesome iPhone but you feel a bit jealous of your Blackberry toting counterparts (well not the guy with the Storm, what was RIM thinking?) because they get all that nifty push email from GMail and you have to wait five minutes to get your mail? It’s a real hassle, the guy next to you is reading some important message from the boss while all you can do is make fart noises with your iPhone.

Things don’t have to be that way anymore. With a little hackery (no jailbreaking involved) you can harness the power of your horribly named .me account and get your GMail pushed to you. The process isn’t hard and it won’t set you back any cash. All you need to do is to follow the nifty instructions provided by David Berube on his blog and you’ll have push GMail on your iPhone in no time.

  1. Personally, I’d rather listen to iFart sounds or play a game or two than have my boss sending me emails every couple of seconds.  Why in the world does everyone think they need to be in constant contact with people sending likely useless emails.  Every fifteen minutes or half-hour is more than good enough.  People should get off their high-horses thinking they’re so important and picking up emails like their lives or somebody else’s depended upon it.
