RAZR2 vs N95 vs iPhone
With the announcement of the RAZR2 today, Tech Digest have run a comparison review of Motorola’s “wickedly cool” phone with Nokia’s N95 and Apple’s iPhone. The winner? Read on.
The review goes over a variety of different features each phone has to offer, including the camera, video and music playback, size, connectivity, “whizzy features” and as with any respectable review, the downsides of each product. In terms of music and video you’ve probably already guessed that the iPhone has won hands down, although the other two phones should allow over-the-air downloads, something which at present many are unsure the iPhone will do. The camera’s on the iPhone and RAZR2 are mediocre by today’s standards, both offering 2-mega pixels, but the Nokia N95 wins with its beautiful 3-mega pixel snapper. The iPhone loses points to the other two phones on its size but the 3.5-inch screen compared to the RAZR 2’s 2.2-inch and N95’s 2.6-inch. The iPhone is flamed for its out-of-date 2.5G technology where the N95 and RAZR2 have 3G standards, but the RAZR 2 doesn’t have Wi-Fi which both Nokia and Apple’s devices do.
The verdict on Tech Digest appears to be non-conclusive but the iPhone does seem to come up trumps over the RAZR 2, which I’m sure won’t please Motorola especially after their comments suggesting Apple would have to re-think how to deal with them.

correction please!!! as you said
“The camera’s on the iPhone and RAZR2 are mediocre by today’s standards, both offering 2-mega pixels, but the Nokia N95 wins with its beautiful 3-mega pixel snapper”
actually n95 has a 5 megapixels camera so iphone and razr2 or whatever the motorola is called is crap at images!!!and dont think so if n95 is losing with the music,it has 2 loudspeakers like woofers!! wat about the touch screen?wasnt it so stupid and difficult to type without keypads????so overall n95 is the winner nothing to question!! wait wat is that motorola phone hangin round in this battle?

I love the iphone, but I’m not sure you read the TechDigest article. It didn’t show the iphone winning hands down anywhere.

Having done product and device development for AT&T Wireless (the original one) for 10+ years, I’ve had the opportunity to test / use / own just about every GSM device on the market. Until a week ago, I would have said my favorite gadget geek devices were made by Nokia. Two weeks before the iPhone launch, I purchased a Nokia N95. Talk about the swiss army knife of smartphones… wifi, 3G (in europe only), 5 MP camera, GPS… the list goes on. I’ve grown accustomed to the Nokia series 60 interface and ability to install all sorts of third party applications… then last week, my iPhone arrived… it is every thing that Steve J, David P and Walt said it would be and more. This is the device I’ve been waiting for for the last 15 years I’ve been in wireless. Needless to say, I haven’t given my N95 a second look since I got the iPhone. Sure it can do many more things that most people don’t really need it to do, but in terms of speed of interface and intuitive design there is no comparison. Anybody want to buy a like new Nokia N95?!

3G technology, 5 megapixels, GPS, Wi Fi, Video and image editing, etc.. These are just some of the features of nokia N95 that iPhone and Motorola doesn’t have. And oh ..Motorola? Are you guys f***ing serious that you would include Motorola in the contest? No doubt, N95 is the winner!!!!
-
Actually i stand corrected ...some of the features motorla and iphone have but still N95 has more features and is still the winner!
-
but n95 is fat!!lol ive got 1

wats wit d dumb iphone anyway. If u give so much care about interface than functionality, fine u can queue up 2days before the iphone gets to ur area but if u’re serious minded and also love to play n have fun (biz n fun) then the N95 is game. by the way the motorola razor blade or watever its called these days is invinsible.

morpheus di blanco,
your little post is riddled with discourse that makes me doubt your claims. not to mention meaningless rhetorical garbage about using features”
“Sure it can do many more things that most people dont really need it to do…”
since when did you get to speak on behalf of mobile device users the world over?
of course consumerist twits dont need their phone to do this or that but professionals DO!
thats the difference between a phone and a smartphone “morpheus”.
my enterprise mobile device does “many more things” that i need it to do that your little itoy cannot.
you only came off sounding like just another pathetic and desperate and sociopathic iphone owner that has to believe they own the best thing available or it will break their heart.
well done. -
Well Im very impressed by the N95’s inbuilt tri-axis accelerometer allowing it to play games just like a Wii. I aint seen any iphones conneceted to the tv playing gamesd like Quake or Sonic controlled by a NOKMOTE/Wiimote function. What about N95 third party compatability allowing things like shut-up and rotate-me. Iphone misses the spot again. Anyone seen a iphone lightsabre? nope yet again. What about iphone being on multiple networks and carriers. Nope.

The n95 on paper looks better but in normal daylight the iPhones camera looks amazing for 2 megapixels, I have both and can tell you that the iPhone is by far my favourite. The iPhone is very easy to use and has a much better web browse and when people look at your phone they all love the iphone and take no notice of the n95. Face it the iPhone is more fun, practical its an iPod so music is better on the iPhone.end of.

The iphone is a simple device for simple people. The N95 is way more than simple and it takes a certain intellect to be able to use it to its full advantage.
anyone can use an iphone, and rightly so, its for simple people. Geeks and powerusers have an N95 (and modify to the hilt). Technophobes, fashionistas and pretend geeks have an iphone.

dunno who would have a motorola…losers ? people who don’t really know whats going on around them? kids? people who drive Camrys ?
