IPhone Development team RipDev has found a way to activate the included Screenshot utility that’s hidden inside of every iPhone.

The method involves editing a .plist file located in “/var/mobile/Library/Preferences/com.apple.springboard.plist” and restarting your iPhone. Just by holding the Home button and toggling the mute button, you’ll take a screenshot which will be promptly added to your camera role. For those of the faint of heart, an App called “Apple Screenshot Enabler” sets everything up and is available from the Installer source “http://repository.ripdev.com”.
