image Skype has undoubtedly become the de facto standard in VoIP communications… Now iPhone users can get in on the Skype goodness… Macworld magazine reports that Skype will be coming to iPhone users via a web application called IM+... A snippet:

“The application works on any network, according to Shape, and doesn’t specifically require Wi-Fi.”

I’ve used Skype plenty of times and enjoy the ease-of-use and the voice clarity it offers. The voice clarity whoops iChat by a mile… Will you be using Skype on your iPhone? What do you think? To catch the whole story… check it out here.

  2. Ahem . . . IM+ is a chat only app (no Skype voice). And the standard in VoIP is certainly not the closed-source computer-bound Skype , but the open-source SIP protocol.

  3. As soon as you get skype and better yet, gizmoproject on iphones AND the prices down maybe 200-300 dollars less, I’ll consider the phone then, not until…
