Sorry UK- iPhone is no longer available

Indeed, it is a dark day for British iPhone fans. O2 has confirmed speculation that the iPhone is not available anywhere in the United Kingdom, and that buyers may have to wait for the launch of the 3G iPhone. One of the major contributing factors to this shortage is O2’s massive price drop last month, which was supposed to make room for the new 3G device. Looks like O2 may have cut their prices a bit too low, however, as the majority of discounted iPhones flew off the shelves in the first few days after the price cuts. On a more positive note, the fact that O2 isn’t re-stocking any iPhones may signify just how close we are to the launch of the 3G model.
