When MobileMe launched, it was advertised as a push messaging service, promising fast delivery of your content to any Apple device. Some subscribers were disappointed when, after a rocky launch, they realized that a fifteen-minute delay was standard for device-to-device updates. The reason for this is because MobileMe uses a brand new architecture that facilitates data transfer between devices, but comes with a few drawbacks.
