The iPhone Is Just… Mediocre

Wendy Cheng is your typical Apple hater. She hates how Apple users think they are superior because their computers are beautiful. She also hates how they act arrogantly towards other ‘PC’ users. Though, it seems as if, all too often this hatred for Mac fanatics is often translated into a hatred for all things Apple.

Wendy recently reviewed an iPhone, or at least thats what she thought it was. It was not until after she finished reviewing it, one of her affiliates told her she was really reviewing the “Fake China iPhone.” Ironically she seemed impressed with the knock-off.

Later when she actually got her hands on the phone she had a hard time operating it; instead of using her finger to scroll, she used her nail. She then goes on to talk about how the sound quality is surprisingly good, but everyone knows that no one cares about music anyways. Wendy says that the phone is only mediocre. This is because the touch-screen is horrible and even though the music feature is nice, no one cares about it.

Do you agree with these statements? She does have the credibility of being the most popular blogger in Singapore. What do you think? All I know is that I laughed the whole way through.

I have to say that I’m just a fan of all things that work and work well.  I don’t understand how someone can use a device incorrectly and then be pissed about it.  Yet, somehow can be impressed by the crappy knock her people made.  Shouldn’t you actually have a freaking clue about the very thing you are reviewing?

    But, I guess that’s what makes her a typical ignorant hater.

  11. Fantastic.  Watching her try and navigate the iPhone with her nails was hysterical.  The way she had to curl her finger into a question mark shape and slide/select with her knuckle was priceless. 

    This person isn’t a tech blogger, she’s a teeny bopper.  Even John Dvorak wouldn’t be mindless enough to say the iPhone was a poor device because it wasn’t designed to support 2.5” fingernails. 

    LOL, “but honestly who cares about music, its very annoying.”  You can tell at this point she’s just trying to drive page hits.  (104.5 million album sales in Q1 2008, see here: http://www.usatoday.com/life/music/news/2008-04-02-album-sales_N.htm).  Obviously *someone* cares about music.

    She did get one thing right, the subject of that photo was “very ugly.”

    Her next episode is a guide to sex shops, and it’s on the “dick network” so I mean, I guess you should know what you’re getting into if this chick is offering buying advice on anything.

  14. I hate BMW drivers. They are uppity. They think their cars are better than everybody elses. I can get a really fast Ford or Chevy for half the price. And they are a better car. What’s the big deal. If it breaks I’l just fix it myself or get it repaired under the warranty. I don’t get it. Besides I don’t really fit inside a BMW. I need the leg room of an american car. BMWs are for short people anyway. What about all the tall people.  You just need a car to get you from point a to point b. Last time I checked that is what a car was for. BMW is not going to do it any better. BMW is stupid. Why would you pay more?
