What are some iPhone games you’d like to see once the SDK launches?

So far, iPhone games have been largely disappointing. With the exception of a few games like iPhysics, most iPhone games are limited to puzzles or painfully basic sidescrollers (Pigshooter, anyone?). Hopefully the launch of the SDK will bring about a few decent games, and maybe some licensed ports too. The most important question is exactly how much graphics processing the iPhone can handle. That said, it must have some serious power to run its interface, and it certainly has demonstrated its graphics prowess in a few third-party games. Anyhow, we’d like to hear what kind of games you think would work well on the iPhone. Here’s a few to get your gears turning:

1. Katamari: Tilt your iPhone in the direction you want the ball to roll. Instant fun! (For those of you not familiar with the game, read about it here.)
2. Geometry Wars: This game was fun on the Xbox 360 and on the PSP. Basically, it’s fun on any device.
3. Burnout / Ridge Racer (or some kind of high-speed racing game): Use the iPhone as a steering wheel. Need we say more?

  1. Oh, i’d like to see Fury of the Furries on the iPhone tongue laugh

  2. I’m thinking along the lines of turn based strategy/RPG, similar to Fire Emblem. So far it’s been pretty hard to play real-time games on the iPhone without a lot of practice because of tactile feedback.

  3. How about Sims or Civilization?
