Thanks for the list. Could you put these in alphabetical order by country?
-
So, how exactly would that work? I’m traveling to India, before I go, I get my iPhone freed of ATT, and then what when I get there? Do I have to open the beast and put in a SIM purchased there? Or?
-
There’s and error in the list. I have an iPhone in Malaysia, and it does NOT work with Maxis… cannot receive calls.
In Malaysia iPhone only works with Celcom and Digi.
-
iPhone works with Smart and Globe in the Philippines, including EDGE.

Ok I have a question that maybe you guys can answer. How would I unlock an iPhone with out activating it first? I see all of these videos showing how you can swop sim cards, but what are the steps involved?
If I go and purchase an iPhone what is my next step in using the unlocking software? Do I have to sign up with at&T or is there a way of activating without signing up?
I already am a Tmobile customer.

It’s very funny that how inaccurate the information is :
There’s no Hellboun in Malaysia!
-
Maxis definitely doesn’t work - cannot accept incoming calls… But EDGE, SMS and outgoing calls are fine. Maxis say that they are aware of this issue from their own testing. Which suggests they might be the carrier for the iPhone when it is launched.
Celcom works if you have the right SIM - some of their 3G USIMs are not recognised at all.
DiGi is the best network for the iPhone in Malaysia - works off the bat, EDGE, SMS and calling in and out works. They also have the most extensive EDGE network and have optimised to the hilt, as that is their only high speed data option.
-
The iPhone does NOT work with Malaysia’s Maxis network (it works on Digi). Sadly, the Maxis folks does not care much about that either. I’ve called them many times and all they keep telling me is that they’re waiting for the technical team to respond and that the info I gathered from the internet are “just forums”. Frankly I am this close to switching networks.

when you listed suncom as an unlocked carrier, is it only for puerto rico, or will it work in puerto rico as well?
-
For Denmark you can also add, Telmore,Bibob,Sonofon,Debitel,CBB,and Lebara.
